Developer, director and producer specializing in advanced 3D animation motion capture and special effects for television and video games. His career of nearly 20 years has honored three Suncoast Emmy Awards in the categories of Excellence in Animation (2002), Technical Achievement (2007), and Program Production Children/Youth (2011). His work has been featured on Sesame Street, Univision, Telemundo, DirecTV and WIPR among others. His work has also been part of communication projects for the New England Aquarium in Boston, The USA Pavilion for the 1998 World’s Fair in Portugal, and MAPR 2004 exhibition “The Other Window – 50 Years of Television PR”.

Since year 2005, Mr. Montilla has directed projects in Atlantic University College’s Motion Capture Lab in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. He also serves as creator and co-producer, for the animated series and video game for children called “Floxy and Julio”. The series premieres this year an iOS application called “Fluxom Frenzy”.

His experience in motion capture technology has opened new doors in the exciting world of video game production in which he has acted as a modeler, character animator and animation supervisor. In his role as supervisor capture movement, has worked with names like Black Ops Entertainment, House of Moves, and recognized educational institutions like the University Southern California with which it has collaborated in seven video games as part of the animation and video game programs at Atlantic University College.

Mr. Montilla has a Master of Science degree from New York University, is a children’s book writer, and animation professor.
