He studied screenwriting at the San Antonio de los Baños (Cuba) Film School, Film Direction at N.Y. University, attended the Story Seminar with Robert McKee and the Directing Actors workshop with Judith Weston.

Felipe won the Best Short Film award at the 2009 Bogotá Film Festival and the Carolina scholarship in Madrid, Spain, for the feature film original screenplay Señora Verde, in 2008.

He is co-creator of the Transmedia project ON, Open Your Eyes, winner of the 2013 Innovation Award in Holland.
